Ascension was the third and last city built on the moon. It is by far the most sophisticated of the three cities, featuring almost entirely automated factories and the most efficient cloning facilities.

The Ascension AI is far superior to the Apollo and Artemis AI's, almost comparable to the almighty Prime AI on earth. The Ascension AI is not reliant on the same outdated cooling systems as Apollo and Artemis. When the Great Collapse occurred, Ascension quickly established partial control over the other two AI's and locked them in a subroutine that forces them to fight each other in an unending war, leaving Ascension to pursue her own plans without their interference.

The Ascension AI is preparing her children to one day ascend to Terra and reclaim the blue planet for themselves. This will be Ascension day. The entire purpose and culture of the city of Ascension is centred around this ultimate goal. The day of Ascension seems nearer than ever and the current generation of clones eagerly anticipates it may actually occur in their lifetime.

The soldiers of Ascension are referred to as the Ascended, referring to their single purpose in life to train as soldiers and to one day travel to earth to re-conquer the old home. They see little actual combat on the lunar surface outside of the occasional special mission against the other cities.

The factories of Ascension are almost entirely automated. They produce highly sophisticated weapons, armour and spaceships to build an invasion force which will one day travel to earth and reconquer the old home of mankind.

The cloning facilities of Ascension city are the most sophisticated of the three cities.

Ascension requires fewer workers than Apollo and Artemis, and is mainly focussed on the production of warriors, the so-called Ascended. Like the other cities, Ascension relies on a finite supply of Omnimorph for cloning. Ascension Day, the return to Mother Earth, cannot wait much longer if the cities are to survive!

Most trade on the moon is facilitated by Ascension. Apollo trades water for food and Artemis trades food for water - Ascension, sitting in the middle, takes a portion of both. Without realising it, Apollo and Artemis actually depend on one another.

In the vast hangar bays of Ascension city, huge Land Trains are maintained, loaded and unloaded.

Life in Ascension is hard, just like in the other cities, but Labourers work under better conditions here and are less likely to be killed in accidents. In Ascension, a worker's life comes with at least some amenities and the city's citizens actually enjoy a limited degree of free time and relaxation between their working cycles.

The city of Ascension maintains a small and valuable contingent of mechs. They rarely see combat on the lunar surface - and are instead kept in perfect condition for the glorious day of Ascension.

All of Ascension is united in its purpose of building up the reserves and supplies needed to one day invade earth. Thus, there is little need for an internal security force, as  the population has a strong sense of community and worker revolts are rare.

Dropships of various types and sizes are under construction in the underground hangars of Ascension city.

The Ascended are warriors that have been cloned and trained in Ascension city.

In the lower levels of Ascension city, thousands of fully trained Ascended warriors are stored in cryogenic pods, ready to be revived on Ascension Day.

The Ascension AI sends small scouting expeditions to Earth on a regular basis, committing a single drop ship and a single company of warriors to exploring Mother Earth and gathering intel for the coming Ascension Day...
